New business: ABB, a power and automation technology group, has selected Huntersville for a new facility to make high-voltage land power cables. ABB is investing $90 million in the facility, which will employ more than 100 people.
New sign plan: A community workshop is planned at 7 p.m. today at Town Hall at 21445 Catawba Avenue to consider way-finding signs, gateway signs and sign ordinance changes. The signage committee's recommendation will be presented.

Library: Town Commissioner Dave Gilroy says that although the agreement with Mecklenburg County and the Library Board for the town's contribution to the library budget is not yet finalized, the Cornelius library will remain open and is adding a fifth day soon.
