Galway Hooker Pub
Located in Kenton Place, the Galway Hooker Pub is gearing up to roll out a new menu, featuring more food and beverages from local food growers, wineries and breweries than ever before by late October.
Owner Chris Boukedes said the goal of the new menu is to "embrace the new season as well as the organic and local flavor in our community."

The gastropub features a variety of traditional and Irish fare, including appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, pasta, and soups and salads.
In addition, Galway Hooker Pub operates the Comedy Zone Club in a 4,000 square-foot space above the restaurant every Tuesday night starting at 8 p.m. The Comedy Zone Club offers a non-smoking environment and full bar and dinner menu. Upcoming guests in October include Ron Feingold, Jim Holder, Jamie Kennedy and Jerry Farber.

Tickets are now on sale for the Oct. 12 Jail & Bail event, which will feature music by The Charlie Daniels Band and Bridgette Tatum. You can get your tickets for the event at the NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville or at the Brickhouse Tavern. Jail & Bail will feature several NASCAR celebrities, including drivers, crew chiefs, officials and TV personalities as they get "locked up" and have to bail themselves out of jail. Proceeds raised go to the Brienne Davis Scholarship Fund, which supports women pursuing education and careers in the automotive industry.
