Kersey Valley Spooky Woods Haunted Attraction

1615 Kersey Valley Road, High Point. 336-431-1700.

Hours: 8-10 p.m. Thursday and Sunday; and 8 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Haunted attraction open through Nov. 6.

Cost: Friday and Saturday $25, Thursday and Sunday $19, Groups of 20 or more cost $17 each. Guests are asked to carpool. Parking is $5 per car. Reservations are required to guarantee entrance into the haunt. Limited tickets will be available on-site.

Activities: Guests will spend about an hour venturing through a haunted house, taking a tram ride to the Spooky Woods, wandering through a corn field, being spooked at a castle, and creeping through a pumpkin patch. With more than 130 monsters, goblins, zombies and more, the trip will excite visitors this Halloween season. The haunted attraction also offers guests a chance to ride the Kersey Valley Zip Line for $89, which includes a VIP ticket to the haunt. For those less interested in being spooked, the grounds offer a corn maize during 1-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Kersey Valley has several attractions. Kersey Valley Christmas is open Nov. 26-Dec.19 and Dec. 21-23. It will open again in the spring for the Zip Line.

Target Audience: The business advises no guests younger than 12 years old on the Spooky Woods adventure.

Directions from uptown: Get on I-77 N/U.S. 21 N toward Statesville. Take Exit 13A to merge onto I-85 north toward Greensboro. Take Exit 113 for N.C. 62 S. Turn left at N.C. 62 S. Take the first right onto Kersey Valley Road. Destination will be on the right.

Distance from Charlotte: About 1 hour and 15 minutes.
