Habitat for Humanity

Help restock the ReStore: Out Towns Habitat for Humanity of Mooresville, Davidson, Cornelius and Huntersville is looking for merchanidse to stock two ReStores. Shelves are stocked completely by donations and sales from the ReStores provide shelter for families. As you clean out your closets to make room for new, don't forget Our Towns Habitat for Humanity. Both Habitat ReStores pick up and deliver. Current needs include furniture, household items, books, cabinets, patio furniture, home decorations and TVs. Charlotte Knights

Volunteering: Charlotte Knights staff members volunteered at the Men's Shelter of Charlotte on Dec. 16, serving more than 200 shelter patrons that day.The shelter provides bedding, bathroom facilities and three meals a day to more than 500 homeless men each night. Community Blood Center of the Carolinas

Blood drive: The Community Blood Center of the Carolinas will have its sixth annual Puppies for Patients Program through Dec. 31 at Community Blood Center of the Carolinas, 4447 South Blvd. Donors will be able to sign a tag that will be attached to a stuffed puppy and delivered to children in area hospitalsDetails: www.cbcc.us or 704-972-4700.

Pints for Pounds blood drive: Community Blood Center of the Carolinas is kicking off its third annual Pint for Pounds on Jan. 1.
