Mi-Connection Transition: Local telecommunications company MI-Connection will continue its transition toward becoming a locally-operated company Friday. This will shift jobs currently based in Bristol, Va., to the Lake Norman community. These newly created jobs will handle customer service, billing and technical support. MI-Connection plans to add 16 new jobs by the time the transition is complete in 90 days.

Calling All Veterans: Town commissioners recently approved the construction of a Veterans Memorial in Cornelius. Local Food Certification: Piedmont Grown launched a local certification program last week that will designate foods within the 37 county Piedmont region of the state.
