Fundraising auction: The Mooresville Artist Guild will have a reverse raffle and silent auction at 7 p.m. Sept. 17 to raise money for the renovation of the Historic Mooresville Depot. The last raffle ticket drawn will win $10,000. Only 250 tickets will be sold at $100 each. Buy tickets at the Depot, through guild members and at several Main Street businesses. 704-663-6661.

Afterschool Pit Stop: The Mooresville Recreation Department offers afterschool activities for children in kindergarten through sixth grade 2:30-6 p.m. at the War Memorial Building. The cost is $25 per week. Registration is required. 704-663-2670.

Last outdoor concert of the season: Da Throwback Band will perform favorite party songs from the '70s at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 16 on Town Hall Lawn, 413 N. Main St. Food and beverages will be for sale.

Troutman

Police: The N.C. Justice Academy Certificate of Achievement has been awarded to police Traffic Safety Officer Justin Lee Dagenhart for completing 500 hours of specialized training. The certificate is reserved for officers dedicated to making state highways safer.

Catawba County

Library fines: The Library System has enabled online payments through its web site. Customers with overdue books or lost items can credit their accounts using credit or debit cards. The system assesses a fine to the account of any borrower who fails to return library materials by the due date. Fees range from 20 cents per day for books and magazines to $1 a day for DVDs.
