Water line warranty: For $4.75 per month, Mooresville water customers can protect themselves against the expense of repairing water line breaks. The Service Line Warranty program is a partnership between the town, the National League of Cities and the private firm Service Warranties of America.

The warranty covers line repairs up to $4,000, plus $500 more if needed for repairing public sidewalks that had to be cut for the line repairs. No public money will be used in the program.

For information, call the town's Public Utilities Division at 704-663-7282. To learn more about SLWA, call 855-241-8800 or visit www.utilitylineprotection.com.
