Fitness challenge: Outdoor enthusiasts and runners can take part in Rural Hill's new Seven and Seven Challenge. The Oct. 15event features a 7-kilometer trail run as well as a 7-acre corn maze. Habitat event: Our Towns Habitat for Humanity's Biggest Cheese in Town 2011 competition will continue this week .

At 6 p.m. Oct. 14 Gerald Worrell of Northwestern Mutual Financial will host Antiques OFF THE Road Show at 19407 Meta Road in Cornelius. During the event, a professional appraiser will assess the value of items brought in.

The Biggest Cheese in Town is an annual event in which individuals pledge to raise at least $1,000 for Our Towns. The one who raises the most will be crowned "Biggest Cheese in Town" on Oct. 21 at the Cheese Ball.
