Holiday Women's Show: Noon-7 p.m. Dec. 1, Charles Mack Citizen Center, 215 N. Main St., Mooresville. 40 vendor displays. Free admission. 704-664-3898;

Christmas in Davidson: 6-9 p.m. Dec. 1-3. Opening ceremonies are at 6 p.m. Dec. 1 with the arrival of Santa Claus on the Village Green.

An Old-Fashioned Christmas at the Historic Sharpe House: 402 S. Center St., Statesville, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 3, 1-4 p.m. Dec. 4. Open house features seasonal decor, costumed hosts, live music and baked goods. Free admission, but donations of nonperishable foods are requested for Iredell Christian Ministries. 704-872-3000;

Be a Santa to a Senior: The Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce is helping lonely and financially challenged seniors with a "Be a Santa to a Senior" program. . Visit the chamber at 149 E. Iredell Ave., select an ornament off the tree, buy the gifts on the recipient's "wish list" and return the items with the ornament (name and ID of participating senior) to the chamber by Dec. 9. Reading Reindeer: 11 a.m. Dec.1, Mooresville Public Library, 304 S. Main St. Ages 2-5 can listen to reindeer stories and leave with reindeer food.

Christmas concert: Piedmont Prime Time Community Band's 10th annual Christmas concert, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2, Kannapolis Performing Arts Center at A. L. Brown High School, 415 E. First St., Kannapolis. Donations accepted. Details: Jon Hutchinson at 704-425-3508;

Toys for Tots: Between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 12, drop off new, unwrapped toys and games at Kannapolis Fire Station No. 1, 300 Firehouse Drive, for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots Program. Toys can be brought to the Southern Piedmont Singers concert at Kimball Lutheran Memorial Lutheran Church at 7 p.m. Dec. 10.

Breakfast with Santa: 8:30 and 10 a.m. Dec. 3, Lowe's YMCA, 170 Joe Knox Ave., Mooresville. Event includes photos with Santa, hot breakfast, music, crafts and games. Register by Nov. 30. 704-716-4000.
