Essay to Be Published: An essay by Davidson Day sixth grader Kara Bringewatt was recently selected for the book, "Celebrating What is Important to Me." Bringewatt's essay titled "In Defense of Some of My Favorite Books" discusses the Harry Potter series. The anthology will publish in April.

Civics 101: Davidson residents can apply for the 2012 Civics 101 course. In its sixth year, the free program is open to Davidson residents and residents in Davidson's extra-territorial jurisdiction, 18 and older.
