Speed limits reduced: The speed limit on Wilson Avenue between Main Street and Clay Street has been reduced from 35 mph to 25 mph because of limited sight distances and traffic flow issues. Also, all streets in the Greencroft subdivision were reduced from 35 mph to 25 mph.

Community Youth Survey: The Community Youth Survey ended Nov. 30. The town and local agencies, churches and private businesses will review the results to identify "gaps in services" for local youths.

Trash and recycling collection: The town will not pick up trash and recycling Dec. 26. The collection schedule is delayed one day that week.

Movies on Main: A matinee presentation of "The Polar Express," rated G, will be shown 3 p.m. at the Charles Mack Citizen Center. For more information, call 704-662-3334.

of Iredell

Pet Inn purchased: Lake Norman Pet Spa and Resort Corp. recently acquired Pampered Pets Inn, 2993 Charlotte Highway (U.S. 21), off Interstate 77 Exit 33 in Mooresville.

Terry Bermani founded Pampered Pets Inn in 2007. She said she sold the business to join her husband of 31 years in California, where he has worked for several years.

New owners are Tony and Judy DaDante.
