Davidson

New Website: The Town of Davidson recently premiered a redesigned municipal website with the help of citizen input.

The site now includes a number of new features, such as a home page slideshow featuring news and information of note, integration of social media, an easy-to-navigate photo gallery, a "Services A-Z" page and a "How Do I?" section that can be tailored to community questions and concerns. The town sought public input on the redesign through an online survey in May 2011. The site can be found both at www. ci.davidson .nc.us and www. town of davidson .org .

Dispatch Update: The Town of Huntersville opted to leave Cornelius's 911 Dispatch Center on Dec. 15. Cornelius Police Chief Bence Hoyle will give a presentation on dispatch's costs and options before the Jan. 23 commissioners meeting at Cornelius Town Hall, 21445 Catawba Ave..

Blood Drive: Lake Norman Regional Medical Center will host a Blood Drive with the American Red Cross on Friday .

The Blood Drive will run from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Community Rooms A and B in the main building of Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, 171 Fairview Road in Mooresville. The blood drive is open to the public, and appointments are not required but recommended. Residents need to bring photo identification.
