Lake Norman High

Youth Softball Clinic: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. March 3 at the school's softball field. One-day clinic conducted by the Carolina Comets Gold 18-under touring team's coaches and players. Cost: $20 per player. Participants can register online at www.mooresvillerecreation.org or by going by the Mooresville Recreation Department offices, 418 Carpenter Ave., Mooresville.

Brawley Middle

Night of the Arts: 6-8:30 p.m. March 22 at the school. Performances by the school clubs. Gift baskets will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to support the band, chorus and arts programs.

Lakeshore Middle

Believe in Brendan Game: 6-7 p.m. March 9 at the school gymnasium. Fundraising student vs. teacher game, with proceeds going to help a fifth-grade student at Lake Norman Elementary who is battling cancer. Tickets are $3 per person.

Iredell-Statesville Schools

Early College Enrollment: Applications are currently being accepted from eighth-grade students for I-SS's Collaborative College for Technology and Leadership. The deadline is March 1.

VPAC Enrollment: The I-SS Visual and Performing Arts Center High School is accepting applications from current eighth-grade students for the 2012-2013 school year. The deadline is March 15.

National College Fair: 12-4 p.m. March 11, The Park (formerly Charlotte Merchandise Mart), Independence Hall, Independence Boulevard, Charlotte. More than 200 colleges will have representatives at the fair. Information available online at www.nationalcollegefairs.com.
