House at Pooh Corner: The Community School of Davidson High School will present the children’s play, “House at Pooh Corner,” Jan. 16-18 at ArtSpace, 404 Armour St. in Davidson.

The show runs at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Jan. 16, 11:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Jan. 17 and 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Jan. 18.

Based on the classic tale of Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and their friends, the hourlong play features original music and live sound effects.

The cast include students Emma Metzger as Tigger, Cassie Pagan as Rabbit, Ellie Marcus as Roo, Madeleine Wright as Eeyore, Logan Clark as Piglet, Jake Batchelor as Pooh, Caroline Knight as Late Rabbit, Brandon Martin as Christopher Robin, Emma Rizo as Early Rabbit, Natalie Monzavifar as Owl and Hannah Ellington as Kanga.

Sprint into spring: The Sprint into Spring: Troutman Parks & Rec 5K/10K will be held at 8 a.m. March 7 at Troutman ESC Park, 338 North Ave. in Troutman.

Sponsored by Iredell Health System, the event includes a 1-mile family fun run, a 5K and a 10K. Walkers and runners of all ages are encouraged to participate.

Cost is $10 for the fun run, $25 for the 5K and $35 for the 10K before Feb. 28 and $15, $30 and $40 respectively after early registration. Proceeds benefit the further development of Troutman ESC Park, the town’s first park.

State Farm agency opens: David Traugott recently opened a State Farm Insurance & Financial Services agency at 108 Gateway Blvd., Suite 102 in the Mooresville Gateway.

The Mooresville-South Iredell Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting to celebrate at 9:30 am Jan. 23, followed by an open house with refreshments and tours. The public is invited to attend.

Traugott and his wife, Kelly, and their four children recently relocated to Mooresville from Orlando, Fla., where he served as a pastor of Grace Church for more than seven years. David Traugott is licensed in securities and mortgage, as well as insurance and banking in order to serve as a “one-stop shop” for clients. Kelly Traugott is the operations manager.
