A Charlotte police officer was arrested in Guilford County for driving while impaired, according to the Guilford County Sheriff's Office.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police (CMPD) officer Reginald Love was arrested on July 24, and charged with DWI. Officials have not released details of Love's arrest or the events leading to it.
CMPD said that Love, who was hired by the department in July, 2014, was placed on administrative assignment. They deferred all other questions to the Guilford County Sheriff.
