Charges are pending after a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools bus with five students aboard was hit in uptown Charlotte Monday morning.

No students were injured, officials say.

The driver of a Honda ran a red light at Hawthorne Lane and Seventh Street around 9:30 a.m., striking a car, officials say. The car then hit the school bus.

The driver of the Honda is facing charges.
