A woman was arrested after a two-county chase that police say may have reached speeds up to 125 mph and ended in a wreck on Interstate 485.

Authorities said the chase started near the intersection of Odell Church Road and Wendy Road in Cabarrus County. The woman led police through Cabarrus and crossed into Mecklenburg County.

The chase ended when the woman wrecked her car near the Blair Road exit near Mint Hill. She then reportedly jumped out of the car and ran before being arrested.

Cabarrus officials say she will be tested to see if she was driving under the influence.

Authorities have not released her name, or why she was initially being pulled over in Cabarrus County.
