Two brothers shot, one killed at Salisbury party

Two brothers were found shot behind the J.C. Price Legion Post in Salisbury on Saturday morning. Around 9 a.m. one of them died.

According to police, officers were called to the Price Legion Post in the 1400 block of Old Wilkesboro Road after a fight broke out at a party.

When police arrived they found two victims, later identified as Antoine and Devon McGee, in the field behind the building. Both had been shot.

The victims were flown to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem. Devon McGee, 24, died in the hospital. Antoine McGee, 29, is currently in critical condition, according to police.

Detectives and crime scene investigators remain on the scene and the investigation is continuing. No arrests have been made, according to police.

Parties at this location have been the scene of trouble in the past. In 2007 a thirteen year old girl, Treasure Feamster, was shot and killed when she was caught in the crossfire of a gang shooting at a party.

In 2013 Reginald Leach, 22, who was charged with murder, pleaded guilty under an Alford plea to voluntary manslaughter, felony inciting a riot and a felony charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.
