Crews respond to fire at elementary school in Rock Hill

ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) - A fire broke out at Richmond Drive Elementary School Friday afternoon.

The Rock Hill Police Department says the fire started in the school's main building around 1:45 p.m. Officers advised everyone to stay away from the area.

The school is located on Richmond Drive in Rock Hill. Police say a propane tank nearby may have caught fire. Heavy smoke can be seen coming from the building.

There's no word on injuries or what may have started the fire.
