The Shoppes at The Fountains hosts a fall festival fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project on Saturday, 3-8 p.m. There will be music, bounce houses for kids, face painting, a silent auction, a raffle and other entertainment.

Ballantyne Country Club's Rally Committee is participating in the Rally for the Cure® women's golf program benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure this week.

The series of events includes a junior golf event, ladies event and a “Pink Tie” Gala. The Bissell Companies also are changing the color of the lights on some buildings in the Ballantyne Corporate Park to pink this week, and the Ballantyne Village Theater will have a pink light on its tower.

The Community School of the Arts is offering classes at the 521 Recreation Center off of Ardrey Kell Road in the Ballantyne area.

Art and music classes are for ages 3 and older, with instruction in drums, piano, viola, flute, trumpet, voice, cello, clarinet, trombone, violin, harp, guitar and saxophone.

Mint Hill commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday with architects Narmour Wright Creech to discuss plans for a new town hall. Their regular board meeting follows at 7:30 p.m. Both meetings are open to the public and are at the town hall. Details: 704-545-9726.
