Chef Bryan Emperor of Kalu and Wachovia Bank are partnering on a dinner April 21 benefiting several charities supporting Japan relief efforts. The cost of the eight-course meal is $75 per person, $40 of which will go to disaster relief.
The menu includes an appetizer, salad, Sashimi, dim sum and more and will be served from 6-8:30 p.m. Reservations are required.

T he Farm Comes to the Farm
Beginning April 27, a farmers market will be at Robinson Farm at the intersection of Rea Road and Williams Pond Lane. Jason Stone of Unity Farms (who also runs the market at Trade and Tryon for Center City) is organizing the market days for south Charlotte.
The market will run Wednesdays from noon to 6 p.m. throughout the season; offerings include honey, fruit, vegetables and more.
