Restaurant news: Many marking Cinco de Mayo with drink specials

Cantina 1511 and Paco's Tacos and Tequila

These restaurants will be serving drink specials in their outdoor Mexican Beer Gardens on Cinco de Mayo. Each venue will have $2 Coronas and Corona Lights, $5 margaritas and 50-cent Coronitas.

Paco's will also have music and dancing in its Corona Beer Garden beginning at 4 p.m. The garden will be set up in the adjacent Marriott SouthPark courtyard. El Dorado margaritas will be $8; diners who come wearing a cowboy hat receive $5 off their meal that night. All proceeds from the Cinco de Mayo celebration at Paco's will benefit Pat's Place Child Advocacy Center.

Chicken or steak burritos are new on Paco's regular menu, as are two signature cocktails: Orange Blossom, with orange-infused tequila and Godiva white chocolate liqueur, sour mix and ginger; and the Paco's Paloma, made with Cazadores Blanco 100 percent Agave Tequila, Squirt grapefruit soda and fresh lime.

Cantina 1511's Rea Road and East Boulevard locations will be offering $8 Top Shelf 1511 and Tijuana Taxi margaritas. The outside beer garden will open at 4 p.m.
