The Ivy Hall foundation held it's first annual cotillion earlier this year.
Eight area girls were presented at the cotillion held in the ballroom of the UNC Charlotte Student Union.
Shamara Howze was crowned Miss Pearls of Beauty. The first runner up was Danielle Moore and the second runner up was Khala Huntley.
Money from the event will be given as college scholarships to the contestants. Ivy Hall Foundation is a nonprofit organization that serves the community through programs such as health, education, safety and economic empowerment.

Aspen Cherry, daughter of Melania Eaves.
Khala Huntley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Huntley.
Shamara Howze, daughter of Natashia Brown.
Christina Barnhart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Dixon.
Emani Oliver, daughter of Michelle Hayes and Edward Oliver.
Amber Stroud, daughter of Sandra Potts and Orlando Roseboro.
