Golf classic: Veterans are invited to participate in the Veterans and Reservists Golf Classic on June 30 at the Renaissance Park Golf Course, 1525 W. Tyvola Road. Registration is free and includes a round of golf, breakfast and lunch. Donations will be accepted for Stand Down for Homeless Veterans, an Oct. 11 event to benefit homeless veterans. Proctors needed: Test proctors are needed for End of Grade Testing at Pineville Elementary for all third- through fifth-grade classes. The tests will be given 8 a.m.-11 a.m. May 16-20.
