Largest graduating class: One hundred and seven seniors recently graduated from Charlotte Christian, making it the largest graduating class in the school's 60-year history. The class of 2011 earned a cumulative total of more than $4 million in academic, athletic and fine arts scholarships and awards.

Family fun day: A family fun day will be held for the transitional kindergarten and kindergarten extended-day children and their families. This will be held in extended day starting 1 p.m. June 18.
Character All-Star: Samuel Hilton was named a 2011 Carolina Panthers/Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Character All-Star. The trait she was selected for was citizenship.

Engineering scholarship: Clarissa Liu was one of five students across North Carolina to receive a $1,000 scholarship for tuition at Duke University's Pratt School of Engineering through the Erdman Engineering Awards. This is the third year of the scholarships, funded by 1971 Duke alumnus Charlotte attorney David Erdman.
South Charlotte Middle
Character All-Star: Megan Mulhall was named a 2011 Carolina Panthers/Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Character All-Star. The traits she was selected for were justice and fairness.
Character All-Stars: Yuri Gonzales and Tory Williams were named 2011 Carolina Panthers/Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Character All-Stars. Gonzales was named for the trait of responsibility and Williams for the trait of honesty.
Congressional Appointment to West Point: Zach Thompson, a recent Butler High School graduate, earned numerous honors and scholarships for his leadership experience and academic excellence, including a Congressional appointment to West Point, where the military training and educational experience is valued at nearly $450,000. During his senior year, Thompson served as the JROTC Battalion Commander at Butler while maintaining a 4.666 GPA.

Character All-Star: Marisol Martinez was named a 2011 Carolina Panthers/Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Character All-Star. The trait he was selected for is courage.
