Summer nutrition: CMS Child Nutrition will again sponsor this year's Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) for children.
The SFSP in your community allows children 18 years and under to enjoy the same healthy breakfasts and lunches they get in school at a site in your neighborhood all summer long - for free.
SFSP sites are throughout Mecklenburg County. No registration or identification is needed.
This program will operate through Aug. 12 at select sites. The program will be closed Monday, July.
The Summer Food Service Program for Children is a federally funded program operated nationally by the U. S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and administered at the state level by a state agency. For more information on where and when meals will be served this summer in your community, call Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Child Nutrition Services at 980-343-6041 or visit www.cms.k12.nc.us.
Online: The town has released a mobile application that will allow citizens to have instant access to the town's website to report potholes or a malfunctioning traffic light. The mobile app system also has a Customer Resource management feature that will allow the town to report back to citizens. For more information, call the town at 704-847-4411.
