Ardrey Kell High

Knights' Court: The Knights' Court Dedication will be 5:30 p.m. Aug. 26 in the front circular drive. The Knights' Walk of the football players and drum line will be through the courtyard after the dedication on the way to the football game.

British American School

Open house: Prospective students and their families are invited to an open house at The British American School of Charlotte 6-8 p.m. Aug. 24 or Sept. 21. The Ballantyne school welcomes students ages 3 to 16. Teachers recruited from the UK. Register: 704-341-3236.

Country Day

Strategic plan input: CCDS has begun a planning process that will help define the school's priorities and initiatives. Numerous "listening-group" sessions are offered in August and September for the community to share thoughts on areas of focus for CCDS' future. Reservations:www.charlottecountryday.org.

Crestdale Middle

Open house: On Aug. 24, Crestdale will host a drop-in open house from 1-4 p.m. for rising sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders. Students and parents may visit classrooms and meet teachers. Information will be available on arts, sports, band, buses, cafeteria and PTO membership.

CMS

Shots: A Tdap booster shot is required for students entering sixth grade who haven't had one in five years. Students new to CMS must show proof they are current on immunizations and Tdap booster by Aug. 25. Ghost walk: Scott Clark Toyota will hold its second 3-D Ghost Walk in October to raise funds for local elementary school's PTAs. Last year, more than $12,000 was raised for eight elementary schools.
