New South Kitchen and Bar is offering three courses and a glass of wine for $25 per person through Sept. 30. Selections from the promotional menu include: fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs with country ham cracklings, shrimp and grits, slow roasted meatloaf with buttermilk smashed potatoes and more. A choice of dessert is also included.

Starters include choice of a Hearst Salad with local field greens, dried cranberries, blue cheese, pecans and grape tomatoes with sherry vinaigrette or a Caesar salad. The Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge will celebrate its 10th anniversary Sept. 5. The hotel will offer a four-course menu and a signature cocktail at its Gallery Restaurant throughout September. The menu is $40 per person and includes: shrimp and grits, a baby iceberg wedge, a Gallery filet or horseradish crusted hake filet and strawberry mascarpone Napoleon for dessert.
