The King's Pajamas

PJs for Kids: Pam and Jim Dwyer of Mint Hill are coordinating the King's Pajamas fundraiser in collaboration with A Child's Place. Through Nov. 30, they are asking the Charlotte community to donate new, warm pajamas for underprivileged children to wear on Christmas Eve. The PJs will be donated to A Child's Place, which will distribute them in December. Donate new pajamas, sizes 5-6 through 14-16, at Independence High School, Butler High, Providence High, Piedmont High or Bain Elementary. Living Word Worship Center

Food Bank Needs Help: The Living Word Worship Center Church, 2691 Roosevelt Blvd. in Monroe, is in need of donations for the church's food bank. Mail monetary donations to the church or take food items there. For information: Pastor Joel Stallings, 704-225-1908.

Senior Event

Preventing Falls: Shepherd's Center East and Wilora Lake Lodge will hold an information session from 10-11 a.m. Nov. 30 at Wilora Lake Lodge, 6053 Wilora Lake Road. The session will address the leading cause of falls among seniors and how to prevent them. Reserve by Nov. 28 by calling the Shepherd's Center East at 704-338-1511.
