Choir School at St. Peter's

Four choirs from The Choir School at St. Peter's will perform a holiday concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9-10 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 115 W. Seventh Street.

Tickets are $15 per adult or $5 per child under 12. A reserved block of four tickets is $100.

Toys for Tots

Drop off locations include Ayrsley Town Rehabilitation, Fintastic, Hilton Garden Inn, Pi Kappa Phi, Regus-Ayrsley, and Wild Wing Café. Locations outside of Ayrsley include Mac's Speed Shop off Steel Creek and South Blvd., Scott Jaguar off Tyvola, The Dorchester an Independent Retirement Community in Pineville, and Carmel Place Independent Retirement Community off Carmel. Gold tournament success: The organizers of the third annual Toys for Tots Golf tournament donated $30,000 worth of toys Dec. 2 to the Charlotte Toys for Tots program.

Katie's Kidz

Katie's Kidz, which provides Christmas presents to hospitalized children, needs monetary donations to expand its reach to 11 hospitals for the 2011 holiday season.

Jacob's Ladder

Jacob's Ladder is collecting new, unused USB flash drives (minimum of 256 MB) at both of its locations 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 19.

Locations are 2304 The Plaza or Jacob's Ladder West, Center for Employment Services at 2201 Caronia St. Collected flash drives will be distributed to students. Flash drives are an essential tool for clients who rely on Jacob's Ladder computer labs to create and update their resume, complete applications and apply for jobs. Time Warner Cable Giving Drive

Time Warner Cable and News 14 Carolina recently launched "Holiday Hopes & Happenings," a month-long drive to help families in need this holiday season across North and South Carolina.

The public can participate by dropping off new, unwrapped toys at any Time Warner Cable customer care center or payment center through Dec. 14.
