Town hall hours and garbage and recycling pickup will be different for the next two weeks due to the holidays.
Garbage and recycling pickup in Pineville and Matthews will be unchanged during the weeks following Christmas and New Year's, but Mint Hill's garbage and recycling pickup will be on a one-day delayed schedule both weeks.
Residents in all three towns are encouraged to recycle as much as possible.

Christmas trees in all three towns will be picked up curbside beginning the week after Christmas and continuing the next few weeks.
All lights, ornaments and other trimmings should be removed and trees placed by the curb. The trees will be ground into mulch.
Town hall hours will be different as well.
Mint Hill Town Hall will be closed Dec. 26 for Christmas.
Matthews and Pineville town halls will be closed Dec. 26-27.
Mint Hill town hall will be closed Dec. 30. Town halls in Matthews and Pineville will be closed Jan. 2.

In Mecklenburg County, government offices and agencies will be closed Dec. 26-27 for the Christmas holiday and Jan. 2 for the New Year's holiday.
