Carving showcase: The Charlotte Woodcarvers Club is helping sponsor the 29th annual Showcase of Woodcarvings Feb. 17-19 at the Marion Diehl Center, 2219 Tyvola Road. More than 500 carvings will be exhibited. Professional woodcarver Tom Wolfe will host carving competitions. Show is free and open to the public noon-4 p.m. Feb. 18 and 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Feb. 19.
