Traditions Interiors and Accessories

Sharon Garfield started her business in interiors in 1992 in the sunroom of her home and next with a small booth at Interiors Marketplace. Twenty years later, she's moved locations a handful of times, with each move, growing in space and in products that she carries. Over time, her mission has remained the same: to stay up on trends - to always offer updated looks of style. She calls it "traditions redefined."

In addition to recognized furniture brands Hancock & Moore and Sherrill, Traditions also carries many lesser-known but well-liked lines. Garfield has learned to keep offerings versatile. "Jewelry, scarves and handbags have been helpful in drawing people into the store," she said. The 5,500-square-foot space is located in Park Road Shopping Center, where the store are celebrating 20 years.

While trunk shows have been the means of marketing their goods in the past, the demand has been incredible and has encouraged the owner to pursue a permanent place. Frock Shop is putting down roots in the Museum of Neighborhood Art in Plaza Midwood, opening Feb. 4 from noon-8 p.m.
