Donations

Jacob's Ladder: The readiness program recently received a $500 donation from PPG Industries. The donation was made on behalf of longtime Jacob's Ladder volunteer John Burke, who retired from PPG. Burke secured the donation as part of the company's give-back program for its retirees who volunteer at community organizations.

Levine Children's Hospital: During the recent grand opening reception of the new Good's Home Furnishings furniture showroom in Pineville, the company presented a check to Levine Children's Hospital from partnered charity promotions with Ekornes Stressless recliners and Kingsdown bedding.

Coldwater Creek

Go Red Day: Coldwater Creek Store, 9830 Rea Road in Blakeney Shopping Center, is partnering with Go Red for Women to raise money to fight heart disease. Today is the last day Coldwater Creek will offer discounts based on the amount of your donation to Go Red for Women. With a donation of $10, you will receive a 10 percent discount on your purchases; $15 will receive a 15 percent discount; $20 a 20 percent discount; and $25 a 25 percent discount. Donations may be made in the form of cash or checks to the American Heart Association.
