Seeds of Hope

Basketball tournament: There will be a three-game basketball tournament with four divisions 1 p.m. March 4 at Carolina Courts, 7210 Stinson Hartis Road in Indian Trail. The divisions are middle school, high school, adult and competitive adult. Cost is $40 per team; proceeds benefit Seeds of Hope. . Pancakes for a Purpose

Pancreatic cancer: Tammi Brady will host the second annual "Pancakes for a Purpose" breakfast 7:30-10 a.m. Feb. 25 at the Stonecrest Applebees, 5110 Piper Station Drive. The breakfast will raise funds for pancreatic cancer research in honor of Brady's late husband. For tickets, email or call 704-408-1500.

Beds for Kids

Assistance needed: Beds for Kids provides beds, bedding and furniture to needy children and families. The organization needs volunteers and twin bed kits including a pillow and pillow case, fitted and flat sheet and a blanket. Also needed are small dressers and dining tables. Easter Seals

Ride Without Limits: Easter Seals is bringing its annual 19-hour cycling event, Ride Without Limits, to Charlotte Motor Speedway on June 2-3 to benefit Easter Seals and Speedway Children's Charities. Registration is $65 and is limited to the first 1,000 entries, at The event will be 5 p.m. June 2 to noon June 3; bicyclists of all physical abilities will ride as many laps as they can on the 1.5 mile-track. Armed Forces Museum

VFW Post 2423: The Armed Forces Museum & Archives of the Carolinas will hold a fundraiser 7-10 p.m. Feb. 25 at VFW Post 2423 on 100 VFW Lane, Indian Trail. W.B.T. Briarhoppers, David L.
