Decorate the greenway: The town is looking for artists to help decorate Four Mile Creek Greenway.

There are several sewer-vent pipes on the greenway that the town would like to have painted to add an artistic element to the area. Each artist will be assigned a different pipe so that visitors to the Greenway can enjoy a variety of artistic styles. If you are interested in this project, call Colten Marble at Matthews Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resource Department, 704-321-7275, ext. 324, or email cmarble@matthewsnc.gov. The deadline for sending in your description/design of pipe art is 5 p.m. March 30.
