Charlotte Friends Meeting

Discussion: Christina Cowger of N.C. Stop Torture Now and Edie Garwood of Amnesty International lead discussion on action to end U.S.-sanctioned torture of political prisoners. The goal is to support a Citizens' Commission of Inquiry into use of N.C. airfields to transport political prisoners to "black sites" abroad for torture. Program includes film. The meeting is sponsored by the Piedmont Unitarian Universalist Church and Charlotte Friends Meeting (Quakers), with the support of N.C. Peace Action, N.C. Veterans for Peace and N.C.
