Activities: The Georgia Aquarium is the world's largest aquarium with 10 million gallons of fresh and marine water, and more aquatic life than found in any other aquarium. Guests can view whale sharks, beluga whales, jelly fish, penguins and other sea creatures. The aquarium also allows visitors to touch bonnethead sharks, cownose rays, sea anemones and sea stars. The aquarium offers the Dolphin Tales theater, which is home to a theatrical performance with dolphins and people. The Journey with Gentle Giants exhibit is the only in the world that allows guests to swim with whale sharks. The cost of this exhibit is $224.95, or $205.95 for members. The price includes admission to the aquarium, equipment, the swim, certificate of participation, T-shirt and souvenir photo.

Cost: General admission prices cost $24.95 for adults, $18.95 for children ages 3-12, and $20.95 for seniors 65 and older. The aquarium also offers combination tickets to various attractions in the facility. For the dolphin show combination ticket, adults cost $37.45, children ages 3-12 are $25.95, and seniors 65 and older cost $30.45.

Directions from uptown: Take I-85 S. toward Gastonia/Spartanburg. Pass through South Carolina, enter Georgia. Merge onto I-75 S. Take exit 249C toward Williams Street/World Congress Center/Georgia Dome/Aquarium. Turn right onto Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard. Turn left onto Centennial Olympic Park Drive N.W. Take the first right onto Baker Street N.W. Destination will be on the right.
