Closing the loop: Road work will continue through Aug. 26 at the intersection of Reames Road and Metromont Industrial Boulevard in northeast Charlotte. Some lanes will be closed to traffic 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays as state crews realign the intersection.

Lanes on Metromont Industrial Boulevard might also be closed during construction.

Full house: Dan Grieneisen is now president of the NorthEast Coalition of Neighborhoods.

Grieneisen, who had been the organization's first vice president, became president when Claire Green Fallon stepped down earlier this month. Fallon, whose term as president would have ended in January, has announced she is a candidate for an at-large Charlotte City Council seat.

On Campus

What the world needs: The traveling exhibition "Against the Odds: Making a Difference in Global Health" will be on display through Sept. 2 in the J. Murrey Atkins Library. The display explores the need around the world for nutritious food and clean water, a safe place to live and affordable health care.

The National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health created the exhibit, which is open and free to the public.
