Drivers needed: Friendship Trays needs volunteers to deliver meals at lunchtime Wednesdays to meet demand on more than 90 routes. Friendship Trays delivers more than 600 meals daily to elderly, disabled and convalescing people unable or greatly restricted in their ability to prepare or secure meals. To volunteer, call Martha Cochrane on Wednesday mornings or email mcochrane@friendshiptrays.org.

Travel logs needed: The Mecklenburg-Union Metropolitan Planning Organization is planning a household travel survey. ETC Institute, the firm conducting the survey, will recruit 4,000 households to participate based on geographic location, household income and household size.

Each participant will keep a travel diary for one day. For information, Contact Linda Durrett at 704-336-3902 or ldurrett@charlottenc.gov.

Cultural development: The 10th Multicultural Leadership Conference will be 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday in the Cone University Center, 9201 University City Blvd. Keynote speakers will be Tonyia Rawls, founder and executive director of the Freedom Center for Social Justice, and Caitlin Boyle, founder of Operation Beautiful, designed to build self-esteem.
