24 Hours of Booty
Top Fundraisers: Sandy Morgart and Terry Hennessee were recently honored by 24 Hours of Booty as two of the top fundraising teams for 2011.
Morgart of Team Bank of America, and Hennessee of Team Carpe Diem, raised a combined $65,403. The money went to local cancer organizations. As top fundraisers, they recently were invited to participate in several invitation-only events including dinner with Lance Armstrong at his home.

Party in Your PJs: Instead of holding an expensive gala, Classroom Central encourages people to donate by holding drawings where donors can receive prizes including air travel, electronics, fine dining, family fun and other prizes.

Checkers Classic: The Charlotte Checkers' 10th annual Charity Golf Classic will take place Nov. 15 at Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation in Mint Hill.
Proceeds will benefit Presbyterian Hemby Children's Hospital, Teach for America and Discovery Place. Each team or individual registered will golf with a Charlotte Checkers player and have the opportunity to win prizes. For more information, visit www.gocheckers.com.
Getting Through the Holidays: There will be a panel of past KinderMourn parents hosting a discussion from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 17 at the KinderMourn Home, 1320 Harding Place. Pilot Club of Charlotte
Love Lights: Pilot Club of Charlotte will hold its 33rd annual "Love Lights" event from 5 to 9 p.m. Nov. 19 around the Freedom Park lake.
Donations will benefit Pilot International Foundation and Alzheimer's Disease Research Fund. Thousands of luminarias will be lit. To have luminarias lit in honor or memory of a loved one, send your donation to Pilot International Foundation, 2419 Hatherly Road, Charlotte, 28209. Include name(s) to be printed on each luminaria and indicate "in memory" or "in honor." Please include your name and address and the name/address for acknowledgement.
