"Songs of the Fisherman:"

The UNC Charlotte Department of Music presents the world premiere of a chamber opera by Timothy Nelson, director of American Opera Theater. Inspired by Homer's Odyssey and the creation story in Genesis, "Songs of the Fisherman" presents the journey of a life, from birth through self-discovery, alienation, reconciliation, and ultimately, death. 8 p.m. $6-9.
