North Charlotte

Bridge closed: Construction is under way to replace a bridge over McIntyre Creek on Miranda Road in north Charlotte.

Miranda Road will remain closed during construction, which is expected to take about 150 days.

Motorists can use Sunset and Beatties Ford roads as detours.

The bridge was damaged by flooding during storms in August last year.

Planners at the N.C. Department of Transportation decided to move up the schedule for replacing the bridge rather than repair it.
