Kelley Earnhardt gives birth to boy

Kelley Earnhardt, co-owner of Mooresville-based JR Motorsports, gave birth to her first boy at 1:43 p.m. Feb. 16.

Wyatt Wayne Miller checked in at 8 pounds, 13 ounces and 19.5 inches. Both mom and baby are doing great, Kelley Earnhardt said in a posting on her Facebook fan page.

"I haven't had any time to read up on Facebook (welcome to WyattWorld!) but thank you all for the well wishes for Wyatt and remembering my great dad today!" Earnhardt wrote on Facebook Feb. 18. "We are all doing well! And so blessed and thankful."

Her father, Dale Earnhardt, died Feb. 18, 2001, during the Daytona 500. She co-owns JR Motorsports with brother Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Wyatt Wayne Miller is the first child born to Kelley Earnhardt and her husband, L.W. Miller III. They were married on Jan. 22, 2011. Kelley also has two daughters, Karsyn and Kennedy.

Raffle winner gets ultimate race weekend

Ever dream of watching the green flag drop from a luxury suite at Charlotte Motor Speedway and meet one of NASCAR's most famous names?

The Top of the Lake Rotary Club in Mooresville on April 19 will draw the winner of its international raffle for "The Ultimate Race Weekend" May 24-27.

The winner will receive round-trip airfare for two to Charlotte, hotel accommodations Thursday through Sunday; a meet-and-greet with a 2012 Sprint Cup driver to be announced; a race-shop tour of top NASCAR teams; two tickets to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte; pre-race pit passes for the Coca Cola 600; and luxury suite tickets for all racing events - Pole Night, the Camping World Truck and Nationwide series races and the Sprint Cup Coca Cola 600.

All net proceeds will benefit the club's charities, which include the Mooresville Soup Kitchen, HealthReach Community Clinic, S.C.A.N. (Stop Child Abuse Now), polio eradication and Alzheimer's research.
