Martha Graham dance piece restaged: Students from the UNC Charlotte Department of Dance will perform Martha Graham’s “Steps in the Street” (1936) in a Jan. 20 Knight Theater program with the Martha Graham Dance Company, presented by the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center.

Performances will be at 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. “Steps in the Street,” with its subtitle, “Devastation – Homelessness – Exile,” is part of a larger work, “Chronicle,” created by Graham in response to the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War.
