Police said a Mount Holly mom was drunk when she drove her two children to elementary school on Thursday morning, the Gaston Gazette reported.
Police stopped a car driven by Lisa Suzanne Webb after someone noticed her “impaired demeanor,” Mount Holly Police Chief Don Roper told the Gazette. Webb drove at least four miles from her home to drop her kids off at Pinewood Elementary, the Gazette reported, citing a police report.
Webb was taken to the Gaston County Jail for a breath test. Her blood/alcohol content registered 0.23, nearly three times the legal limit for driving, according to the newspaper.
Webb, 32, was charged with driving while impaired, two counts of misdemeanor child abuse, driving with a license that was revoked because of a DWI conviction and having a fake registration or license plate, jail records show. She remained jailed on $25,000 bail on Friday.
Webb served six months in prison after she was found guilty of DWI in 2011, court records show.
