An Albemarle woman suffered second- and third-degree burns on her face and upper torso after police said a man ignited gasoline on her during a domestic dispute on Wednesday.
Kimberly Ann Edwards was hospitalized in stable condition after she was burned at her home in the 1200 block of West Main Street, police said.
Police obtained warrants on David Michael Sutton, also known as Howard Franklin Sutton III, of the same West Main Street address. The warrants charge Sutton with felony attempted first-degree murder, felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury and felony assault with serious bodily injury.
