A CMS school bus caught fire Thursday in east Charlotte

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said no students were injured after a bus caught fire Thursday in east Charlotte, according to WBTV news.

The bus was carrying 16 students from E.E. Waddell Language Academy. The fire started just before 4:30 p.m. on Chestnut Avenue, near Nassau Boulevard. WBTV reported that the driver got all the students off safely after smoke started coming from the front of the bus, where the engine is located.
