A Charlotte 19-year-old was charged with sex offenses involving a Union County teenager he met through an online dating site, sheriff’s investigators said.
Victor Enrique Nunez used Uber to get to the teen’s Indian Trail home just before midnight Wednesday, the Union County Sheriff’s Office said.
Early Thursday, the teen’s dad found her missing from her bedroom, where she should have been getting ready for school, investigators said Friday.
After a brief search, the dad found his daughter outside with a male he didn’t know and proceeded to fight with him, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies responded to a call of a fight in progress at the home and charged Nunez with felony first-degree statutory rape and felony crimes against nature. He was jailed on $20,000 bail pending a June 20 court appearance.
