Bullets fired from car hit 2 men in north Charlotte parking lot Wednesday night

Two men were shot in an apartment complex parking lot off LaSalle Street and Beatties Ford Road in north Charlotte on Wednesday night.

The men had non-life threatening injuries, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Lt. Andrew Harris said.

Police were trying to determine if the men knew who shot them and why they were shot, Harris said shortly before 10 p.m.

“We have limited information at this point in the investigation,” he said.

The men were shot in the 2200 block of Catherine Simmons Avenue at 8:18 p.m., according to Harris. They were in the parking lot, they told police, when a car drove down Catherine Simmons Avenue and at least one person in the car shot at them.
